  • 1.  Genesys Communicate iOS and Android Apps

    Posted 03-14-2023 10:18

In the FAQ's posted on the help page for the Communicate apps, it mentions that,  "Sessions are not meant to be permanent, and they expire for security reasons. When you receive the message, log back in to the app", I haven't been able to find anywhere on the help site that says what the timeframe for this expiration is or if there is a way to change it.

I know that there is an idle time out in organization settings, but I don't think that applies to the app.  The maximum timeout for that is 15 minutes, which doesn't seem feasible if you are using the communicate app to receive calls.

Does anyone know what this setting is for the communicate app and is it customizable?

    Thank you,

The default "session" timeframe for an authenticated user on the mobile apps is currently 8 days. This timeframe is not user-customizable. Orgs under HIPAA governance may enforce expirations at 15 minutes of inactivity, superseding the default timeout.

We have added the information that Chris shared to the FAQs for Communicate and Collaborate on both Anrdoid and iOS.
