I you are trying to purchase / setup a new long code SMS number, you might want to reach out to the GCV team. They should be able to check on the status of any pending SMS purchases. You may also want to read over this article to see if that helps. If you are experiencing general service issues with SMS, contact Genesys Cloud Customer Care.

Can someone please explain in general how setting up a incoming long code SMS works? I searched the Resource Center and did not find a comprehensive guideline on this subject. Messaging overview article talks about setting up messaging not SMS specifically.
- What does the carrier send to Genesys after the long code is provisioned?
- How would you test the incoming SMS if the number is not available atm?
