  • 1.  How to have the scheduling reflect no staffing for the upcoming holiday

    Posted 05-23-2022 10:14
We've checked our routing configuration for all holidays for the year and then manually went in and altered forecast to 0 Zero for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday.  When we ran our schedules, it still staffed people for the day.  How do we have the schedule reflect that no one is working since there is no volume in the forecast and we have the configuration under Routing-Schedules set up for Holiday?

Do we have to manually delete everyone's schedule for the Day?  (Not very efficient) Or does it matter if they are scheduled, will it impact any stats downstream.  What is the best practice for holiday scheduling.  This is our first holiday since go live so we are eager to find the best method of handling this.  Suggestions?

    Hi Tom!

My suggestion is to add in a time off activity code for Public Holiday (or whatever you would like to call it) and then bulk assign everyone the day as a the holiday. You can do this well in advance and use the same activity code for all other holidays like Christmas Day etc. Then when you do the schedule build for that time it will automatically roster all staff as off on a holiday.
if you are measuring adherence to schedule leaving all staff with schedules will impact their results as they wont be logging in and following it for the day.
