    Hi All,

Please kindly help us figure out how to play specific prompts on (AMC) Answering Machine on Outbound Call.

We are using Java Script/VB script for our script.

    Scenario1 (Campaign A):
On the first attempt, once the answering machine is detected, send it to the Agent and disposition the call as Answering Machine.
On the 2nd attempt, once the answering machine is detected, send it to the Agent, click the button to play the prompt, and set the wrap-up code as Played Answering Machine.

    Scenario 2 ( Campaign B):

On the first attempt, once the answering machine is detected, send it to the Agent and click the button to play the prompt.
Just the opposite of the Campaign A.

    Thank you so much

    Rechelle,

Usually, if you are leaving standard messages on Answering Machines, you do so in an Outbound Flow and disposition the call there - no need to involve an agent. Similarly, you can do the tests for "is this the first attempt" and so on.

If you need the agent to click a button to play a prompt, that is a different matter and the subject of a few other threads (and a couple of Ideas, I believe.) It's not exclusive to Outbound.

Generally as Paul said, the Answering machine is handled by the outbound flow itself. If the requirement is to handle differently for first and second attempt, even these can be managed in the flow. why waste agent's time if the procedure is pre-defined.
