  • 1.  How to restrict supervisors from seeing Gamification Settings ?

    Hi,

    Based on our research and testing, the Gamification → Profile → Update permission allows Supervisors to access the Gamification Settings tab.

    (Note: This permission provides much more than just profile edit access.)

    Additionally, this permission enables Supervisors to edit the Gamification Profile, so it is indeed a required permission.

    We are currently trying to identify if there is a specific permission, other than this one, that solely controls access to the Gamification Settings tab.

    We are aware that Genesys recommends using the Performance Management Admin role (https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/activate-gamification-for-your-organization/); however, the permission behaves the same way in that role as well.

    Hello Lalit, 

    First I want to say, you are correct that the gamification -> profile -> update are the correct permissions that provide a broader access than just profile editing, including the settings tab for supervisors. 

    But regarding the search for separate permissions specifically for gamification settings tab access I dont believe there is a standalone permission that controls access to the gamification settings exclusively.  

    The permission system is designed with bundled access where certain key permission like the one you are looking at provide multi level functionality. 

    With all that said none of these appear, at least with my investigation, to provide isolated control over the settings tab access.

    Oi Lalit, tudo bem?

    Sua análise está correta.
    Atualmente, não existe uma permissão específica que restrinja o acesso apenas à aba Gamification Settings sem também conceder a permissão Gamification > Profile > Update.

    A Genesys documenta que essa permissão é necessária para que supervisores editem perfis de gamificação, e ela acaba incluindo acesso às configurações gerais.

    No momento, o comportamento é by design, e não há uma forma nativa de limitar a visualização da aba Settings separadamente.
    Minha recomendação é registrar uma sugestão no Idea Labs, solicitando granularidade adicional nas permissões de gamificação - por exemplo, uma permissão isolada para "Settings".

    Enquanto isso, o ideal é controlar as alterações via logs de auditoria:

    • Acompanhar as ações de "update" nos perfis de gamificação;

    • Revisar periodicamente as mudanças através do Audit Viewer em Admin > Quality > Performance Management.

    Essa é hoje a maneira mais segura de manter rastreabilidade até que o recurso de permissão separada seja implementado.
