In the Trunk settings under Identity you will see a dropdown for Diversion. I would set your PAI to a local DID just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is not a GCV setup.
My inbound carrier (BYOC cloud) sends P-Asserted-Identity header to Genesys.
How do i set "the trunk diversion header to be the From address" ?

I would set the trunk diversion header to be the From address and set a p_AssertedIdentiy on the trunk for the carrier. If you are GCV, then you don't have these options.

BYOC Cloud setup.
Call comes into Genesys with ANI.
Call is transferred (Not a REFER. Sent via INVITE) to an external number.
On the transfer leg, how to pass the Originating ANI? It takes the outbound caller ID programmed in the external trunk.
If I remove caller id, transfer outbound fails.
