    Posted 15 days ago

    Hi,

I have recently exported a Bot Flow as an i3BotFlow file and i need to make some changes to it before i re-import it? What application would i use to view this file in a readable format for me to be able to make the changes. Usually i would make the change within the Bot Flow itself, however on this occasion i need to bring 2 separate bot flows together as one and this seemed the easier option?

This is a proprietary Genesys Run-time format.  For an editable version, you need to export as YAML and you can use ARCHIE to edit or any text editor.  Here is a link to an ARCHIE resource:  Welcome to Archy! (genesys.cloud)

Hi Robert, Thank you for taking the time to look at this, i exported the Bot Flow as a YAML file and then realised when attempting to re-import the file i wasn't able too and was only able to import in the i3BotFlow format.

As far as combining 2 flows, you should look at using a common module that can be called from your flow like a subroutine.  Work with common module flows - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com)

Normally common modules are great, but sadly they aren't allowed in bot flows.

Thank you for this suggestion,  I was looking to bring together the Intents, utterances, and the data actions from both flows. Would this have been able to do this, if common modules were allowed in Bot Flows as Melissa has mentioned below that they are not.

Looks like I'm going to have to copy everything across manually. :)

I suggest creating mini bots for slot fulfillment or intents and plug those into messaging flows instead of recreating bots.  Also allows learning across bots for common functions
