Used to be that if HIPAA compliance is enabled, Genesys Cloud would not save chat history when a user logged off. I'm pretty sure that is no longer the case for regular group-based chat rooms...wondering if maybe not for personal chat rooms. Just a hunch.

Hi Sam - We have tried this . The personal chats no longer exist (unless someone puts a @ to me ) We have reached out to our IT department first before opening a case with Genesys - I wanted to see if this was a known issue or if it is just us.

If you click the cross to close the group, it will move to your recently closed, but otherwise Personal Groups should persist. If you have checked this and they are getting completely removed, then you should raise a case with Genesys Product Support
