Good!
I'm old-school, and the first thing I thought of is the feature in PureConnect (formerly Interaction Center) which does exactly what you are talking about - it's a little trickier in Genesys Cloud. It's kind of annoying having so much information about multiple platforms in my head :-)

Yes , I think we are good now . Two of the problem sites were coming out of a Cisco Call Manager environment and they were accustomed to using a Global Dial Plan where each site had a unique site code prefix . Since they were accustomed to having the 8 digit internal number , we decided to keep it in place . Example , 8159xxxx is site #1 , 8160xxxx is site #2 . These two sites use Poly standalone phones so name dialing isn't really something that most will be using .
Appreciate the follow up , we continue to learn the in and outs of the Genesys platform .

Subject: Internal extension numbers for multiple sites
Searching for ideas on how others have handled multiple sites/locations/ organizations that have internal extension numbers instead of DID assignments . I have multiple sites coming from an old Nortel/Norstar environent . Each site was standalone , each site had the usual extension numbering scheme , 3 digit extensions . Several of these sites will also have DID assignments . Is there a way to assign a extension pool to a specific site/location ? Most of these sites are retail/ distribution centers and there will be physical phones , not WebRTC phones . Just trying to figure out how to call station to station within a site using a number verses name calling with Web phone . Also trying to not have conflicts with DID ranges across 10+ sites . I'm probably overlooking something very simple ....
Thanks !
