  • 1.  Is there a faster way to get tokens/AI features enabled for an org?

    Genesys puts an insane amount of flash and showboating on AI features.

    We want to pilot them.

    We request this on our account through our reseller.

    It's 2+ weeks later, and still nothing.

    Why is this so hard?

    I know the reseller is in the middle, but I don't know if it's them, or Genesys dropping the ball on making this process easier.

    I'm not posting this to shame our reseller, or even Genesys (mostly), but rather to (hopefully) draw Genesys' attention to the fact that this process is way, way too slow and stifles their ability to sell these new features into existing customers.

    Spending money should not be this difficult.

    Hi Paul, not sure about your own situation but as a reseller I know when we've had similar "delays" in the past it's been on multiple sides.  For some items your reseller has to request a sales order from Genesys that may take a few days to get generated.  That may have to pass through a few levels of Genesys before it comes back to your reseller's Genesys contact.  The reseller then has to action that service order for approvals and then send back to Genesys.  In among there may be commercial discussions to make sure your contract between yourself and the reseller covers this type of consumption/usage.  Once the approved order and potentially PO updates have been sent back to Genesys it may then take a day or two to reach the team at Genesys that actually action these things.

    At renewal time, I believe the token billing mechanism gets automatically loaded onto orgs.

    The activation of AI tokens is also available via AppFoundry but I haven't gone through doing it that way myself.
