Genesys change management and communications about changes is pretty terrible, it's probably the largest downside of the entire platform. We've complained to our reps about it and I've posted to the forums, with only minimal change (mostly our reps taking it on themselves to communicate directly with us because they know we're annoyed.)
Given some of the most recent screwups and the lack of any transparency on what they're actually doing to fix it moving forward, I wouldn't hold out too much hope that things will improve. Your best bet is to get on very early on release day and poke around and see what's changed/broken that isn't in the release notes and then get ready to push internal comms/documentation ASAP.

Hi, i reported a bug last week where clicking on extensions in phone management took you to the wrong place. This has now been fixed (Without an update) but it looks like they have changed the layout of the phone management page without any notice in a release note.
Do they change the interface all the time without any notice?
Just last week the same happened and Genesys said,
It was a mistake on our part that this feature missed our release process and was released on it's own, it was intended to be part of a broader feature. We are putting process in place, so that this will not happen again. Moving forward, you will see all UI changes going through the release process and announcements prior to our release.
