Summer has come and past, it's time for a new release recap. Let's take a look at my top three picks from last month.
3) HIPAA-potamus Changes Taking the Internet by Storm!
I've been seeing a lot of talk in the news about a pygmy hippo becoming an internet sensation, but I think that the reporters have it wrong, due to a typo. What they should be commenting on are the changes that our Dev team made to our HIPAA compliant inactivity timeout.
At Genesys, we always have security on our minds. In fact, "Genesys is dedicated to providing a high level of security and regulations compliance and is continually developing solutions towards that end." In order to continue to provide this high level of security, Genesys now automatically supports a 15-minute inactivity timeout. This will help protect sensitive information, even if a user forgets to log out.

2) Real Updates in Real Time?
Really! This next update is for all of my data family out there. With Real time data update indicators in analytics views, this feature will provide a live indicator or a times stamp to let you know when the data was last updated. This helps you get the info that you need, just in the nick of time!

1) Dash Into New Dashboards!
Speaking of analytics, last month our Dev team rolled out some new changes to the Dashboard UI! Not to toot my own horn, but I did wrote a piece about this update and we also had an AMA session in the community to help answer your questions. If you're short on time and would like to know more, here's a superfast synopsis of all of the key features. Auto-scaling widgets? We've got that. Improved color contrast? Yup! Accessibility compliance? You betcha. Ability to share? The more the merrier! Dark mode? Soon TM
The best part is that you can take this new release for a test drive and try it out first before making the switch.

Honorable Mentions
I did want to include a special callout for some changes in how we handle attestation with GCV. Genesys Cloud Voice has made it so that outbound calls that a user makes from Genesys Cloud Voice numbers receive an A level attestation, while outbound calls that a user makes from third-party numbers receive a B level attestation. This update helps to reduce the risk of outbound calls being inadvertently blocked or having them marked as spam.
