You are right. Today knowledge portal can be deployed only along with the messenger config and using div option to hide it. Sorry to jump on this thread but it's good timing for what I've been trying to find out. Can you please clarify for me if the knowledge portal is supposed to be able to be used truly standalone (ie without integration with web messaging etc)? Some articles seem to word it as being the case but all deployment steps show that you can't actually present the knowledge portal to either customers or agents on it's own without having to setup a proper messaging config and hiding the button plus using the div option.
Is this something that's being worked on or something we need to create an idea for?
