In my outbound campaigns, I upload a contact list and a data extraction list.

I have a "data" file that I export and a "data extraction" file that I export from the campaign once completed.

In my data file I have 1529 contact numbers  and in my data extraction file I have 1509 unique phone numbers.  Please help me understand why

    Hello Todd,

Do you have any duplicate phone numbers? Unique phone numbers sounds like you have at least ~20 other duplicate of different phone numbers.

1529 represents the total number of phone records, this includes all instances of phone numbers including the duplicates as stated above multiple records might have the same number.

1509 would mean that the phone numbers were consolidated.

In our system a phone number can be associated with multiple records.

To check for duplicates I recommend checking for multiple records sharing the same phone number, look for any merged contact records, review if there are any legacy data entries that might have created duplicates.

    Hope this helps!

My apologies.  I should have specified that my 1529 contact numbers in the data file are all unique numbers.

    Todd,

Are you exporting the contact list after the campaign has ended?  That should give you information about all the records on the list, including the wrap-up code.  If there was a problem with a number format or a timezone, and the number was uncallable, it will have a wrap up code associated with why the number couldn't be dialed.  Those records where the number could not be dialed, will not show up in the interactions view.  So if you are exporting interactions, it is quite possible that's where the descrepancy is.

    Thank you,
