  • 1.  Maintain Call Control after transfer to number action

I'd like to build an inbound flow that adds a consult leg to an external party (either via SIP trunk or PSTN). The caller and external party interact, then the external party disconnects, and the flow resumes control of the call routing the caller to queue. I assume I'll use a "transfer to number" action but I can't see a way to resume control of the call after the external party disconnects. Is there a way to do this?

Transfer to number does not do a consult transfer; if the external party answers the flow will terminate.  Can you make your external party transfer the call back to the ivr phone number for the flow instead of hanging up?  Then you can do additional work in the flow to make it seem like it's picking back up where it stopped.

Thank you for your response. I'll have the external party send the call back for processing.
