  • 1.  Menu functionality that changes language at anytime during a call flow

    Hi All,

    I am trying to create a logic in my call flow which changes the language to a different one whenever I press * during the execution of the entire call flow. I have a menu with sub tasks setup to do this. The DTMF of the sub-task is * and it sets my flow language to Spanish. I also enabled the 'DTMF goes to this menu choice from any menu' option but that does not seem to work. 

    My requirement is that whenever the customer presses * at any point of the call flow it should go to the menu sub-task to set the language to Spanish.

    Is there any way to implement this?

    So, to be clear.  You have a Task in your menu and have it related to *.  That task has a Choose Language and then a return to the previous menu or return to the main menu?  Can you try playing an audio in that Task to see if it is actually hitting the task when you hit *.

    Hi Nivedha,

    From the menu selection you have to use "Jump to Reusable Task", and with in the reusable task set the language based on your preference and then return the control to go to previous menu or a perticular menu based on your requirement. When we use set language action until the task execution is completed it will not get reflected. Adding the screen shot bellow to show how we can implement this. Hope this helps.

    Hi Ramu,

    I am already doing the same. Please refer below screenshot. So let's say the call flow is now in the main task execution, so when I press * now, will it not go to the 'Go to Spanish' task as I have set DTMF goes to this menu choice from any menu( as per the resource center , if this option is enabled then the execution goes to this task when * is pressed at any point during the call flow execution. If this will not work in that way, Is there any way this logic can be implemented?

    Hi Nivedha,

    I just build a sample app to test this functionality and it is working as expected. If the prompt bargein is disabled some where in the flow then it might not work as expected. On the sample app i have two menus and on Main Menu if i press * then it will change the language to spanish, even if we press * at sub menu also it will change the language and go to the reusable task. . Added sample app on this post. Give it a try by importing it.
