With Genesys Webchat, it states 'Wildcards' are not supported for Deployments. I just wandered, in regards to Messenger (web messaging), does this have the same caveat? Or does it support wildcards, I can't see anything in the documentation or whilst setting up to state that it does or doesn't support this.
Cheers, Eilidh

Hi Eilidh,
Not sure how "wildcards" relate to "certificates" in the title. If the question is about using wildcards like "*" when adding custom domains to Restrict domain access setting, then this is not supported. Please provide example to better explain the intended usage.
Thanks!

Hi there, basically we are moving some of our websites from Titan to Azure, instead of using single SSL Certificates, we used what the Development team called 'wildcards' (I'm not super technical so couldn't really tell you what this means).
When we've tested the sites on Azure, there is issuing loading certain pages because some Genesys cookies are blocking us or causing an error. We thought this might be because we were using wildcards instead of SSL certificates but we have now purchased a SSL certificate and found the same problem, so not sure if it's an issue with Azure or an issue with Genesys webchat.

Hi Eilidh, we don't support adding wildcards like '' to the domain syntax defined in Messenger Deployments > *Restrict domain access* setting. So something a domain defined as **.mydomain.com** would be invalid. Again, I'm not sure what is meant by wildcards so just best-guessing based on description provided.
