Hello,
I can't figure out what this means exactly:
I expected it to mean that we could build our own custom interface, without having to use the full Guest API. To me, this meant we would've been given some new commands (send message, send attachment, etc) and new events (receieved message, etc). I don't see this in the SDK documentation.
Can anyone provide some guidance on this?

Unfortunately, the feature was released without its documentation. It's in progress but won't be released until next week. The new content will be published here when it's released: https://developer.genesys.cloud/commdigital/digital/webmessaging/messengersdk/
