  • 1.  Monitoring: Edges

    Posted 08-10-2022 05:53
    Good Day,

Currently, if we want to Monitor the Edges we have to Open up Genesys Cloud (via a User), go to Admin / Metrics. Issues with this:

    • You can't change away from this view, as in if you go to another area of Genesys Cloud and come back the Stats re-start
      • Is there a way around this ??
    • You can't setup up Alerts or Thresholds on areas – if something goes wrong then we would get alerts
      • Is there a way to do this ??
    • Is there a way to setup a Dashboard of the below, so that we don't have the issues as list on point one above
      • ??

Then is there a way to Monitor the Devices remotely, like SNMP (I know SNMP is not supported) ??

    Help?

I raised this idea a while ago to address your point one Karl:

Unfortunately not too many votes but given the wider and larger focus is on BYOC-C it is getting more and more difficult to get traction behind on-premise Edge features.  Also, technically SNMP is available, however it depends on what it is you're looking to monitor.  This is at the OS level so you won't get any Contact Centre specific information out of it.  It could lbe useful for things like failed RAID disks etc.  You just wouldn't get much support from Genesys on that other than getting ILO credentials.
