    Hey Genesys Community,

One of our divisions is looking at replacing their current headsets for their entire contact center and would like to introduce a noise cancelling model.

They tested out numerous makes and models with hardware NC, however they performed very poorly when used with Genesys Cloud over WebRTC. When the same headsets were tried out with other tools (e.g. MS Teams) NC was working perfectly fine.

These are the models which were already tested:

    • Plantronics Blackwire 8225 USB-A
    • Poly Voyager 4320 UC USB-A MS-Teams
    • Plantronics EncorePro 525 EP525 USB-A + USB-C
    • Plantronics Savi 8220 UC
    • Axtel VOICE UC45 stereo USB-A
    • VOICE UC40 stereo USB  AXH-V40UCD

Are you able to suggest any NC headsets that are proved to be working with GC?

    Thanks in advance!

    Radek

We use the Poly 4300 series.  4310 is single ear and 4320 is stereo.

    Hey Rial,
    Thanks for the quick response.
The team has tried 4320 model already, but I'll ask them to try them once more.
Unless, it's a matter of some additional settings which might affect NC feature.
I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

The 4300 series work better when using the USB adapter.  Without it, you lose some call controls.  We used to use the Jabra brand but find the Poly 4300;s are more durable and have better audio quality.  It's also good to install the Poly Lens app for keeping the firmware up to date.

I really like my Poly 4310 single-muff - leaves an ear open for my ear buds.  My Logitech 800 is great for travel as it folds up about the size of my trackball and connects via USB dongle or Bluetooth.

    Hi Radoslaw,
we are using Jabra Engage 75 and it works fine with Genesys. But it has only a (really good) noise cancelling feature for the microphone, not for the headphones.
