    Please view latest announcement here!

    Summary

    Genesys Cloud is transitioning to a new billing system, and as a result, the Partner Billing Usage API will be replaced. We are taking this opportunity to future-proof the API for a better customer experience.

    You are impacted if this use case applies to you:

    • You are a Genesys Cloud partner using the Partner Billing Usage API to monitor customer usage and generate invoices based on the API data.
    • Partner Billing Usage API: /api/v2/billing/trusteebillingoverview/{trustorOrgId}

    The API is now available to begin your development work. Please note, only mock data will be available at this time. Genesys plans to deprecate the Partner Billing Usage API at a later date after satisfactory testing and deployment of the new billing system. https://developer.genesys.cloud/platform/preview-apis#billing

    We will stay in touch with you throughout the next few months, explaining new milestones and calls to action as necessary for you to complete your testing.

    Your CSM is attending internal calls and is your point person for any help needed. Please raise your questions through them.

    Effective Date

    As notified by Genesys; on or around February 2026

    Details

    The Partner Billing Usage API is intended for Genesys Partner companies to create systems for customer billing of Genesys Cloud users, devices and resources, and AppFoundry applications. The replacement of the Billing System requires us to replace the API.

    The new API has a much richer data set for consumers to see their contracts, subscriptions, rate plans, invoices, quantity commits, balances, drawdown units and overages by billing period all in the same API.

    Customer Impact

    Customers and Partners consuming the Partner Billing Usage API will need to cut-over to the new API endpoints. Timelines will be communicated along the way to keep all partners informed of the change.

    When will partners have access to organisational billing data (as opposed to the existing Mock data) though the new APIs?

    This is  required for end to end testing of partners billing systems

    Thanks

    Hi,

    The new APIs are currently returning mock data.  When will they be providing real data so that we can validate this against the existing API?

    Kind regards,

    Hello - Are these APIs intended to be a replacement for the "Premium Applications – Usage API – Individual Customer Subscription GET endpoint: billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions/{region}/organizations/{orgId}?appIds={appIds}" as well?

    @Isla Taylor

    Thanks

    Hi Erin,

    For now, please be assured that we will provide a replacement for the "Premium Applications - Usage API" within the same timeline. It's TBD on whether we will re-use the Partner Billing Usage API or if we will create a new one. We're currently in an architecture review on the final solution.

    Hope that is helpful for now.

    Hi Martin,

    This is Sai from Isla team. We've scheduled a status update regarding the new Vendor Usage API for November 2025. If there is any update before that, we will share with you.

    Thankyou very much !

    Hi Sai,

    May I ask if there is a status update for Vendor Usage API yet?

    Thank you!

    Is there a problem with the APIs? Or is there no mock data for EUW2? When I try and use

    get /api/v2/billing/contracts & get /api/v2/billing/invoices, I get and internal server error returned

    { "message": "The requested operation failed with status 500", "code": "internal.server.error", "status": 500, "contextId": "9cedee32-b11d-4571-af10-93bebc04853c", "details": [], "errors": [] }
