Hi all,
I am looking to track the journey of the customer as they navigate through my website, and eventually understand if they make a purchase. If I am tracking that customer through the Web Messaging Snippet, with the PE toggle turned "on", and they visit my page and their localStorage is populated with the _ac values.. Am I correct in interpreting this page https://developer.genesys.cloud/commdigital/digital/webmessaging/messengersdk/localStorage, where, if that customer doesn't clear their cache for a whole year.. and I am on day 365, I will be able to recognize that the customers visit on day 1 and day 365 are from the same customer?
It looks to me like the _actec value is what stores their journey info, allowing us to do what I described. Is this the proper understanding?
.. more elegantly said: what's the expiration date of the PE journey of a customer?
Thanks

Hi. The customer's unique identifier stored in local browser expires after 1 year from last detected activity. Note that it's a sliding window, so as long as there is some web activity within that 1-year window, the expiration time is updated +1 year. Web Visits and Web Messaging Conversations that happen within that window will all be correlated to the same customer identifier.
