Hello,

We are unable to delete/purge people in "Deleted People". We need to purge this list, because when we create users with the same email, the old information goes up (division/phone, info...). We couldn't find the API to purge this list. Could you please tell me how to do this ?

Not really it's main use but I have used the GDPR APIs to take care of this type of thing in the past.

Thanks for the post - I know it's frustrating no to be able to purge users. We do plan to support this functionality - please vote for this idea so that you can follow our progress and participate in the beta release. 

In the meantime, Cori's suggestion above is the best option. I wouldn't recommend using GDPR APIs to delete users for reasons outside of GDPR compliance. 

Not really it's main use but I have used the GDPR APIs to take care of this type of thing in the past.

Understanding that the GDPR APIs aren't intended for this, what is the main concern with using them for this?  In my case it was to delete a number of users (several thousand) who were incorrectly added via SCIM that will have taken weeks to do manually and to just rename those to OLD will not have been the best outcome.

Hi Vaun, the GDPR APIs weren't designed to delete thousands of users at a time, so you'd have to write a script to use them "in bulk." But executing that script would set off auto-throttling on our side, as our automation would interpret the usage surge as a possible abuse pattern.

If you do need to delete that number of users, please open a case with Care so that they can work with our development team to process these deletes for you.

Thanks Becky yes I suspected it was the throttling concern.  Unfortunately I've not had much luck in this type of request going through Care in the past, I either get shunted back to the community or pushed towards PS :)
