    What are we removing?

At the top of the Subscription or Billing & Usage page in Genesys Cloud admin are aggregate quantities of users and aggregate dollar amounts for a given billable period. We are removing this section outlined below.

    Why are we doing this?

Essentially, these features were poorly conceptualized and don't work well. The quantity of users totals some user metrics but not all, and the resulting number is misleading. Moreso, with lots of different types of users, there isn't much value in showing a total anyway. Ideally, we would show a more robust breakdown of users so that the total could be put in context. We will look to do that in the future. For now, we'd rather remove an incorrect number than leave it up and cause confusion. The committed dollars can be wrong in certain circumstances.

It's more accurate to make use of the line items below.

But why not make it better instead?

In order to better serve our customers and partners, Genesys is embarking on a journey to create a single customer portal that will provide access to detailed billing reports/data/invoices for the complete portfolio of Genesys' products and services. At some point, this entire UI in the Genesys Cloud application will be replaced with a Usage experience and all billing components will move to the customer portal.

If you have any comments about the removal of this section or more broadly about this UI or its future, please feel free to reply below.

    Thanks!
