    Got a lot of feedback from our agents that the ring volume is too high. If we lower the sound the other problem will be that we don´t get a good sound level when talking to the customer. 

     

    I would like to have something similar as Skype has. Separate volume selection for the ring tone.

    Hey @Tobias Zackrisson I'm a developer on the softphone, and I really liked this suggestion. It looked like it wouldn't be too difficult to implement so I went ahead and took on the feature. You should see this become available in PureCloud shortly after the new year.  Thanks for the great suggestion!

    I saw that this is implemented now. You can reach it by selecting your "Calls" menu on the left hand menu bar and then the "Phone Selector" tab.

    Hi @Xander Dumaine

    When will the ring volume control be available in the softphone? As Tobias Braun says in the comment field it's available in PureCloud for WebRTC. But I can´t see any update on the software.

    I noticed this in today's Release Notes:

     

    Web-based phone volume settings

    PureCloud web-based phone users can now adjust call ring and audio volumes separately. For more information, see Select the PureCloud web-based phone as your phone.

    Are you seeing those separate Ring and Call volume controls now?

    Hi @Clay Tison , the thing is that we are not using the web based phone (WebRTC). We are using the softphone installed on the computer. So I hope that @Xander Dumaine did not misunderstood me when I asked for the improvement.

    @Tobias Zackrisson Sorry for the confusion...internally, the web-based phone was tracked as "softphone" by Xander's team before it was renamed "web-based phone". So, the PureCloud Softphone has not been updated. As I mentioned at the very beginning, I entered the Softphone behaviour you want as an enhancement request, but it has not yet been picked up for development. Until our official public-facing enhancement request system is made available, you will need to pester Support now and again to see if any progress has been made. Sorry for the bad news!

    Here in Japan,  we also have the same problem as @Tobias Zackrisson has. I also request the ringtone configuration on "the soft phone" .

    We would like select audio devices each for voice sound and ringtone separately, so that we could set ringtone from speakers and voice from Headsets.

    Also it would be very appreciated that we could change the ringtones.

    This is long due issue. Every time when we implement softphone (not referring to web based phone, I mean PureCloud Softphone) for our new clients, this is one of the top 3 complaints.
