Lately, we've seen a significant increase of SPAM / junk phone calls into numerous queues. They come in various formats:
- South Asian music playing in the background
- Water sloshing around or bubbling
- Faint sounds of traffic
- Silence then disconnect at a specific interval of time (approx. 15-18 seconds)
I'm even getting these calls directly to me in PureCloud (not from an IVR or group call). There are teams expending effort calling numbers back in the event that they are legitimate customers, but when we call back it's generally an invalid number. I'm aware that numbers can be spoofed, but there are also things carriers are doing to proactively combat SPAM calls.
