  • 1.  Slots associated with terms in multiple utterances?

    I'm sure I'm reading or viewing things wrong here, but when starting down the path on identifying slots from terms in multiple utterances - it seems I have to manually repeat this for every single utterance.  Let's say I have a whole list of utterances that have the word "account" in them.  I want to link that term to a slot "accountNumber".  But it seems like that slot linking is only being done at the individual utterance level and I have to go through one by one to select the term in each utterance to link it to a slot.  

    Is that correct or am I missing something obvious here?

    Normal behavior here.  It is assumed that if account is asked for once, you would not want to ask for it again along the flow.  That is why they put the Clear Slot into the tools so you can use that before you Ask for Slot and have it not consider the previous value of the slot.  Clear Slot action - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com)

    Yeah it kind of answers it but leaves the question.  If you have 200 possible utterances where they might already contain the word "account" - it does seem a bit short-sighted that there's no way of tagging those all to the account slot instead of having to go through 200 utterances to manually do that for each of them.

    eg "I'd like to pay my account" or "I'd like my account balance"  In both of those we'd need a slot to collect the account number

    Would be a challenge, but worth the idea.  My carpenter dad always taught me - measure twice and cut once.  I learned the hard way like you that going back and editing 300 utterances is no fun.  If you can plan from the start - much easier!

    Yeah, probably what's making this more difficult is these are all intent miner generated utterances :)
