Martin,
The stand-alone is a separate license and it's not as much as the communicate license. My impression of the stand alone phone though, is that is more meant for a communal phones in conference or break out rooms.
If you were to create the users in the Genesys, and then set their Polycom phone as their default phone. There phone will ring if they are not logged in. They would only need to log into Genesys 1 time to set their VM pin. Then they would be able to use just the Polycom phone on their desk.

Subject: Standalone Phone
I have users that just want a Polycom phone and do not want to use the Web UI to manage their phone. There is the standalone-phone, but there is a cost to this feature. I am trying to find out what that cost is and is that cost on top of a communicate license, or does the standalone capabilities work without any other license. I'm not even sure if the standalone-phone is a license or not. The other issue is the standalone phone does not support VM. So looking for options to provide a phone only option with VM to a business user. Thanks.
