They will be merged, I'm sure...
I understand why you want it that way.
I go way back. In the "old days" of Interaction Center (precursor/springboard for PureCloud/Genesys Cloud) I could be walking out of the building, remember that I forgot to call my wife (this is before I had a cell phone with unlimited minutes), stop at the Lobby phone and log in via the phone (option in the IVR), place a call using my user rights (because that system had calling rights based upon user), call my wife from that standalone Lobby phone, then log out (via IVR), and head home...

I am surprised that this hasn't come up before, or maybe it has. It is definitely causing confusion amongst users who see that phone and don't know what to do with it. Or rather, select that phone unknowingly. Thanks for the reply.

Even though labeled as Standalone, it has always been an option for a user to select one of those phones. All the way back through PureConnect/Interaction Center. Just always been that way.

We have a standalone phone built with a DID assigned to it. This phone, even though it is in standalone mode, is selectable by any agent. Why does that phone show up in the list of selectable devices? The purpose of a standalone phone is that no agent or user needs to be assigned to it right? Anyone know why or if you can make them not visible?
Thanks in advance.
