  • 1.  Unable to see ipd in composer, only could see code

    Posted 08-08-2022 00:00
    Hi Team,

Recently I have installed composer on windows 10 and trying to work on composer workflows, but when I create a test workflow I don't see IPD diagram coming, only could see code.

Any plugin needs to be imported to eclipse inorder to work with IPD

    Thanks,
    Vinod

    Hi Vinod,

Thank you for taking the time to post here in the community.

To help us assist you further, can you please provide the following information:

    • The Version of composer that you tried to install
    • Did you follow the steps in Genesys documentation provided for installation?
    • The version of Eclipse
    • Screenshot of the error
    • Screenshot of installed Composer components from eclipse. This will help us check if installation is fully complete or if it had failed to install some components.
    Thank you,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat

Thanks for the response on this thread

    Please find the below details

    Composer version: 8.1.561.29
Followed same steps as per Genesys documentation
Eclipse Version: Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java & web developers (2022-06, 4.24.0)
Error: There is no error, when try to open any .xml file there is only code which displays, but no IPD diagram where we drag & drop components to build a flow

    • Screenshot of installed Composer components from eclipse.

    Hi Vinod,

    Thank you for this.

Had a quick chat with the team and it looks like we may need a specific screenshot of the software already installed.

Here are the steps to follow just in case

    1. Click on Help in eclipse
    2. Navigate to Installation Details
    3. Filter with Composer

    or

    1. Click on Help in eclipse
    2. Navigate to Install new software
    3. Click on "What is already installed?"
    4. Filter with composer
You should be able to see 4 Composer components as shown below
    image
Can you confirm if you're seeing all the 4 components or missing any one of these?

    Thank you,

    Hi Venkat,

Please find the below installation details on eclipse.

As I remember, during installation of composer I don't get below option to select eclipse installation portal on same page where we mention port.

    Hi Vinod,

Sorry for jumping in to your conversation, but I was wondering what perspective you are using when you try to open the IPD or the Workflow files. By default, Eclipse is not able to read .ixnprocess or .workflow files when you are using the out-of-box perspectives.

You need to navigate to Window > Open Perspective > Other and select Composer.

After that, if that's the issue (since you mentioned there were no errors in the installation), you should be able to open the IPD and Workflows correctly.

    Hope that helps,

    Hi Rafael,

I used Composer perspective only to create test workflow.
