  • 1.  Voice Change while playing Dates.

    Hi team,

    In my Architect flow for the English language, I am using the "Ruth-ntts" voice.
    However, when I try to play a date using the function ToAudioDate(MakeDateTime(2009, 3, 20)), the voice switches from "Ruth-ntts" to a different one.
    Also for Spanish language, I am using the "Lupe-ntts" voice.
    Same issue for Spanish language too..
    Could you please assist in resolving this issue and ensure that the voice remains consistent as "Ruth-ntts" for english and "Lupe-ntts" for spanish when playing the date?

    I'm not certain, but I don't think it uses TTS for playing things like Dates, Numbers etc. Instead it builds the audio up from pre-recorded snippets. (That's certainly how PureConnect used to work.) The idea being that a date is made up of a (relatively) small number of components that can be pre-recorded and optimized.

    Correct, the ToAudioX expressions (other than ToAudioTTS) are using runtime data playback using the appropriate system prompts instead of TTS.  You can upload your own recordings for the system prompts if you want.  Otherwise, stick to the TTS expressions.  Note that you will lose the format options that ToAudioDate has and you might need to tweak your date string to get it to play how you want.

    Hello Haridass,

    You will probably better off raising a case with Customer Care for this one as they will be able to help investigate the issue further and look into why the voice is changing (or it could be what Paul said and that it isn't expected to match the voice set)
