  • 1.  Web chat migrating to a new URL, what is needed to ensure widget still works?

    We are planning to migrate a website to a new hosted URL. Currently, the Genesys Cloud web messaging widget is embedded on the existing site using the Messenger deployment snippet. To successfully move the web messaging widget to the new site, is it sufficient to copy and paste the existing Messenger deployment snippet with the same deployment ID into the new site's script section using Google Tag Manager?

    The code snippet in the Messenger Deployment is the determining factor, so yes, just deploy the snippet to the new pages and it should work
