  • 1.  Web Chat Unexpected Disconnect

    Scenario:

    Agent is on a web chat with a customer and they lose connection (internet goes down, power outage,etc) and abandons the chat. 

    Is there anything that can be done to send the customer a message that there was an unexpected error or have the chat transfer to another agent or back in queue?

    That is exactly why you want to look at implementing Web Messaging since it provides Asynchronous chat while the tradition is synchronous.  This should be GA fairly soon.  Find out more here About web messaging - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com)
