As far as template messages are concerned (the ones you send using agentless API), currently, we only support image attachments in those. 1. We currently support image media for both clients and agents. We are working on audio, video, and file transfer capability and plan to release later this year.
2. Retention of WhatsApp messages is similar to other messaging channels. Generally, media is retained for 90 days by the conversation service. The recording service may retain data for longer depending on your quality policies. Analytics will keep a record of metrics around conversations and some details (without media) whether it's expired from conversations or not retained by recording.
3. Yes - automatic responses are supported, as well as bots.
4. Outbound campaigns are not supported currently. You are correct - WhatsApp has many opt-in rules and policies governing what content can be sent (no promotional messages, for example). For more, please see here:
