After I noticed the admin response in this idea I parked my thoughts for a while... but still, after days of rest I can't get over it. So I start this thread in order to gain support or cry in silence ;)

The idea >> Enable wildcard search in all | Genesys Cloud Ideas Portal

The problem >> "we can only spread the request among areas" << why not just doing this - or giving any perspective of progress 

This cite is not made to blame anybody for this comment, but to me it lacks of understanding or even experience in working with the UI on a daily basis or it just misses ownership - or might it translates just the 'absence of an idea how to start' this?! I assume it is the last and want to help. I did not collect an overview yet where I personally miss that 'basic/hygienic' feature of wildcard search most, but some pop into my mind. I invite you to vote and add links to ideas, if they exist or if you feel triggered to creating one. Feel free to comment or to challenge my post.

P.S. I am motivated to contribute to a better product, which is so awesome in some areas, but so poorly made in others, that I am struggling frequently to share this with others!

First and foremost >> Datatables

Please add (instant=while typing) wildcard search IN a datatable... because there is one in the 'list of datatables' already and ... just comparing the amount of items, search has definitely more value IN the datatable!

There was an idea about data tables -- Partial Keyword/Wildcard Search in Data | Genesys Cloud Ideas Portal

...but, it also comes with such comment "Based on your feedback, we're adding partial name search to Business Rules!". :(

The most annoying thing is it always used to and then a new update took it away, skills particularly.  If I want to search for all skills that contain calls I have to work out the whole naming convention ad we have 500 odd skills

While I appreciate the speed in which Genesys release I do wish they would look at what was there and now what isn't, the dev work is done by people that don't maintain huge call centres and when they dev they are only looking at very small orgs so filtering skills as the example is not done.  There are many things that annoy me around performance view also, if I have a list of 20 pages and select a conversation when I go back the page I am out refreshes back to back 1...most annoying

Feels like the devs are constantly chasing the next big thing, the next AI super feature (which I'm sure is being driven from further up), rather than polishing what they already have. I would prefer less flashy new things for a little while and get some quality of life improvements on what is already there.

Completely agree with this sentiment, Anton. This was a theme in our last QBR with high level Genesys managers present and I hope the message was received.
