New unified navigation experience coming to Genesys Cloud

In this video, an important future release is discussed, Genesys Cloud will introduce a redesigned navigation system, and an updated information architecture aimed at improving usability and streamlining how users access features across the platform.

The upcoming changes reorganize the layout into a hierarchical, clearly labeled global menu.

While the features themselves remain unchanged, the way users reach and interact with them will become more intuitive and efficient.

Key improvements:

A unified global menu that consolidates navigation across the entire platform and improves clarity through a structured menu system.
A new top bar displaying consistent page titles, a back button for easier orientation, and relocated elements like Collaborate, Inbox, and the User Avatar.
Improved global search that now includes menu page results alongside people, groups, and locations, allowing users to find platform features more quickly from a single search.
Simplified access to features. For example, consolidated access to Favorites, Video Chat, and preferred apps.
Feature parity with the current UI, ensuring every page and function remains accessible, even for components that haven’t yet been fully modernized.

This new navigation system will be delivered as a single update rather than in phases. All existing UI components will be accessible through the new structure. To ensure continuity, the new navigation will support the ability to opt in or opt out at the Agent level.
