  • 1.  Cisco CTI PORT / Genesys

    Posted 02-05-2017 00:24
    Hi,

Is it possible that Genesys can register and monitor a CTI PORT?

Cisco unified CM Administration version is : 11.0.1.229900-14
    T-Server for CUCM version is :  8.1.202.12

    Thanks

What do you exactly mean by register and monitor? In general, there is a T-Server for CUCM, which offers services like that - registering app/CTI link.

I want to do a RequestRegisterAddress and ResquestAgenLogin.

My goal is to have a virtual agent. Control a telephone line that is not connected to a physical phone.

When the T-server is started, the CTI PORT configured in the CUCM do not register. Therefore, our application (SDK API) is not able to query this CTI PORT. The TSERVER document indicates that it is possible to use CTI PORT in a CUCM. But is that true?

I do not see any logical reason for that as the CTI link status is monitored by T-Server in OOB.

Do you know how to configure the CTI PORT in the CUCM and in the Genesys(CME)?  There must be a specific configuration. Any example?

On Genesys site there is no special object for that, just only the configuration on T-Server level. Read the guides to learn more about that.

What Guide? Can you more precise.

In the T-server for CUCM / Deployement Guide, they just "touch" the subjet...no more.

As was mentioned, there is no option how to monitor the CTI port from Genesys site, except the build-in fucntion of T-Server, which monitor the CTI in general as is the most mandatory (according to the status of CTI, it presents its own status - Started/Service Unavailable).  I do not see any reason for monitoring it from any other location (on Genesys level).
