  • 1.  Can you create rotation patterns are part of new schedules

    Hey guys.

When we create schedules for our specialists, they work this same schedule until we do another shift bid. So when I run schedules for new hires, I want to give them a rotation and schedule based on what we need. The problem I run into is that I can create schedules that have a specialist working 2 weekends out of our planning session (as an example), but then can't get him to work the exact same days the next time I build schedules.  What I've found is that I have to create a rotating pattern and manipulate it there to give the exact same schedule each time.

Is there a way to have it build it in the contract/shift section instead?

    Hi Jammie,

How are your rotations configured? Are they set so they are flexible so you allow WFM to choose the working patterns initially and then you want a copy of this schedule to be replicated over the following weeks until the next shift review?

If so we agree that you would amend the rotation to "fix" the rotational pattern so its the same going forward and we dont think this can be resolved using contract and shifts only.

Another option you could use, is to build your initial planning period for example 4 weeks and then publish this out until the date of your next shift review.  Just so long as there are no exceptions in the calendar when you initially build as these will be copied over the future weeks.  You will just have to make sure that you deselect these agents if your going to rebuild in the meantime?

    thanks
