Yes this is possible, one of our client with my ex-employer is using the same structure in IWS. You need to make changes in Genesyslab.Desktop.Modules.ExtensionSample.dll

Hello, Yes there is document available in Genesys Documents sections: For new features refer to "Release Notes" of each product. For Migration steps refer to "Genesys Migration Guide"

There are multiple possiblities for this type of issue but to find the actual cause you have to check logs...
