Why is GCAP changing?

Our aim is to deliver a loyalty program that rewards our customers in the ways that matter to them. We also want to reward you for your advocacy and engagement across all Genesys channels. So, we've built this new program based on your feedback - you told us that you wanted more engagement with your peers, more opportunities for access to executives and thought leaders at Genesys, and more ways to enhance your skills and grow your personal brand.

GCAP 2.0 is the first step toward that experience.

What happened to the old GCAP?

It's always difficult to say goodbye, but the original version of our GCAP hub was over 7 years old (that's 49 in dog years and 142 in customer advocacy years). On January 1, 2025, the old GCAP turned off its lights for that last time and headed down to an advocacy program retirement community in Miami. We'll miss it but wish it well.

What can I earn points for?

You can continue earning points for all the activities you complete, like speaking at events, completing surveys, sharing content on social media, and being a customer reference, to name a few.

Now, you can also earn points for participating in the Genesys Community. Replying to discussions, starting a new thread, having the Best Answer, or being named a Community Rockstar all come with points that will be added to your Community profile and get you one step closer to that next advocacy level.

I was a member of the old GCAP hub. Do I need to join the program again?

If you were an active member in the old GCAP hub, we brought your points and advocacy activity over during the move. If you are using the same email in the Community as you did in GCAP, you are all set to start earning points and unlocking the next advocacy level.

However, this is a great opportunity to revisit you advocacy preferences and make sure your profile is up to date. You can complete the GCAP onboarding form at advocacy.genesys.com/join to update your preferences and ensure we're offering you opportunities that fit your interests.

What can I do with my points?

Your points will accumulate all year on your Genesys Community profile. As you earn enough points to unlock advocacy levels, you will be eligible to receive all the rewards in that level. No more point redemptions - all the rewards will instantly be yours to enjoy.

Any level you unlock will be valid for the following calendar year. Every January 1st, you will need to re-earn your status for the following year.

Why do I have fewer points than I did in the old GCAP?

We've updated our advocacy point scale to better align with the points you can earn across all Genesys programs to make it easier for you to unlock rewards.

37,000 points now equals 200! But don't worry, the value is the same as before - we're just simplifying the math. Math can be tough, but with GCAP, it doesn't have to be!

But I was saving up for an Xperience pass!

Customers who have earned enough points to redeem a complimentary Xperience pass have earned their status at an advocacy level that includes this perk. If you are still on your way to earning enough points, you can continue making your way up the GCAP levels until you unlock GCAPtain status, which includes a complimentary pass.

If you would like to redeem your lifetime points for additional passes, you can do so without affecting your current advocacy level. We will announce the cut-off date for redeeming passes to Xperience 2025 closer to the event date.

What is an Advocacy Level?

Think of our advocacy levels like a frequent flyer program. The more you participate, engage, and advocate, the more points you earn.

These points help you level up and unlock exclusives benefits and perks - no more saving up your points all year to redeem one item. Each advocacy level includes an assortment of rewards, experiences, and exclusive invitations that are instantly your to enjoy.

There are four levels in GCAP:

  1. Level 1: Nimbus, 0 - 199 Points
  2. Level 2: Arctic, 200 - 499 Points
  3. Level 3: Amber, 500 - 999 Points
  4. Level 4: GCAPtain, 1,000+ Points

How can I see how many points I have?

Your advocacy and community points will appear combined on your profile right here in the Genesys Community. If you have any questions about your points or your current advocacy level, please reach out to advocacy@genesys.com.

It's taken me all year to level up to GCAPtain status. How long will I be at this level?

Your advocacy level will be valid for the following calendar year. If it takes you until December to unlock your next level, you will still be able to enjoy all your new benefits throughout the following year, too.

On January 1st, your annual points will reset but your lifetime reward points will remain, and you will begin working your way up the levels once again to secure your status for next year while you enjoy the benefits of your current level.

I don't have a GKN or Community account. How can I join GCAP?

To link your advocacy profile with your activity across Genesys programs, you will need to request a Genesys Access Pass. You can do so here.

If you receive your Genesys services through a partner, you can still request an account through the link above without having to request access from your partner.

The email submitted on your advocacy account when completing the GCAP onboarding form will instantly link to your Community profile. If you previously completed activities in GCAP, your activity history will be saved to your new Community profile once created.

The email on my old GCAP profile is different from the one on my GKN/Community account. How can I link my accounts?

Please send an email to advocacy@genesys.com and we can update the email on your advocacy profile to match Community.
