  • 1.  Avaya EAS vs non-EAS detection?

    Posted 01-09-2015 21:48
I was wondering if there is a way to detect if an Avaya switch being used has EAS setup or not using the Java Platform 8.1 SDK.

Currently we are retrieving information using the RequestQueryServer command which retrieves info about the TServer being used.

I tried the RequestQuerySwitch command and this comes back with an Unsupported Operation error even though the Avaya TServer guide states that it is a supported operation in 8.1.  And I am not sure the EventSwitchInfo would contain if the switch was using EAS or not.

Any information on this would be helpful.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Please open a case on T-Server Avaya to clarify if this info can be requested at all and through which request exactly.

According to T-Server for Avaya 8.1 Dep Guide:

acd-register-mode option must be set on T-Server side with the value corresponding to the mode set on switch side.

NOTE: You must set the value of this configuration option according to the
switch mode. If you have configured the switch to work in Expert Agent Selection (EAS) mode, then the only valid values are eas and
    local.
