  • 1.  Report on outbound trunk used

Is there a way to easily determine, without scouring log files, which trunk was used to make an outbound call in a VoIP (SIP Server) environment? I know on the Campaign Group I can specify the Trunk but if I want to go back historically and see for a particular call which trunk was used is there an easy way to find that out? I was hoping for something like a trunk_id field in calling list much in the say fashion as switch_id and agent_id.

    Thanks,

    Hi Eric,

Please be advised that the default Outbound Format does not have any field pointing to the Trunk DN used for outbound call like it has agent_id and switch_id fields. Also SIP Server currently is not reporting the Trunk used to place the outbound call in T-Library Events to OCS like it does for inbound calls (AttributeExtensions\OtherTrunkName). So currently there's no easy way to get information which trunk was used to make an outbound call in a VoIP (SIP Server) environment.

Good news is that there's Feature Request for SIP Server to have 'OtherTrunkName' value in Extensions for Outbound call TEvents. The Product Manager accepted that FR with the update that this functionality (include trunk information in the events to ICON/Info Mart) is a future candidate on our roadmap for 2015 or 2016.

    Regards,
