  • 1.  java extension stat server 7.6.1

    Posted 10-20-2015 18:51
We are using both Stat Server 7.6.x and 8.1.x. The 8.1 is capturing all Java Stats fine. But, 7.6.4 is not showing any Java stat even though the Java extension is enabled and is configured excatly like the one that's working. Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
It could be that the Java layer is failing to load for some reason, or possibly a typo in the configuration to the jvm-path.  In order to figure out what is happening, can you please log a Case with Genesys Customer Care?  We will need to review your Stat Server logs from start-up to see if the java layer is encountering any specific problems.  In addition to the logs, can you please let us know what version of Java you are using and whether you are loading this on a 32 or 64 bit system?

    Best Regards,
    ?Neil

    Hi! Neil,

I’ve already uploaded a log file to the ticket this weekend. It does look like Java initialization issue. This is what I found in the configuration and might be the cause of the issue. Java Settings on the Stat Server are:

    java-extensions-dir : ./java/ext

    java-libraries-dir: ./java/lib

    java-extensions-loading-timeout: 20

    jvm-path: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_22\bin\client\jvm.dll

But, Java runtime on the server seems to be 6.0. Would changing jvm-path to jvm.dll of 6.0 fix this issue? Or should 6.0 be uninstalled? I’m not sure what version is supported. I appreciate you looking into this.

    Hi Sunil,
Thanks for the update, I think we will need to wait and see what Oleksii says from his analysis in the Case.  I took a look quickly and it seemed that the java layer initialized, so maybe there is some other problem happening.  Also, Stat Server supports Java 1.4 and 1.5, so probably best to stay clear of 6.0.  The 8.1 Stat Server however can support Java 1.7.

    Thanks, Neil
