Hi Larry,
I looked into this and LRM only requires a database connection to pull usage reports and for its nightly job. If the userid password was changed outside of the nightly scheduled job the downtime would be minimal. If LRM fails to connect during the scheduled job, it will retry the number of configured attempts then give up until the next night.
