I installed Genesys Web service and Application (Ver 8.5.201.18) on Redhat linux 6 64-bit, cassandra 1.2.
As soon as it began, error.

I had been setting the application.yaml.
But, These files like an error occurs regardless.

It seems like incorrect configuration. Try to check the deployment guide again and go through all necessary steps.

Regardless of where application.yaml file (in GWS_HOME/etc),error occurs.
Can you test web service? 
I think that this version seems like wrong configuration.

unfortunately, I haven't got any live environment with similiar version of HTCC. I am using lower version.

Try to add option "externalApiUrlV2" info application.yaml file (which replaces the server-settings.yaml file). If this will not help, strongly recommend to open a #SR to GST.

Just ran into this. Move the gws.jar file into the etc/ folder and it worked.

My solution is that move the configuration files from GWS_CONF folder to my GWS_HOME folder.  
And I set to  "externalApiUrlV2" option as follow.
(192.168.0.55 -> my host ip address)

The test web page opened successfull.
But, error goes on. 
GWS installation is hard.

I have moved application.yaml as your adviced but when I try to access
http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx:8080/api/v2/diagostics/version
It showed "Page not found"

Also having the same issue and tried as suggested copying the etc files to the main dir but doesn't work for me

For further refence, Genesys suggest to copy yaml files to same path as JAR. Then run the java command line from that directory

1. Create one directory with the .jar file as well as all  configuration files (this directory will be referred to as the working directory):

• application.yaml 
• logback.xml 
• statistics.yaml
• elasticsearch.yml 
• hystrix.properties 
• feature-definitions.json (optional).
• rouiting-templates (optional)

Include the path to the Java executable in the PATH environment variable (so that you can run the 'java' command from anywhere).

Then start GWS as follows (for example) from the working directory:

java -Xmx8G -Xms8G -XX:PermSize=512m -jar gws.jar

You must run "java -Xmx8G -Xms8G -XX:PermSize=512m -jar gws.jar " command _from_ the directory the gws.jar is in. Won't work from anywhere else.
