Hi,

I have two GAX instances both with Pulse plugin installed (users will access mainly to one GAX, the second will be accessed if the first GAX fails).
I have an HA pair of Pulse Collector and the primary Pulse Collector is in the connections list of both GAX instances.
What is the best configuration of Pulse Collector HA pair so that Pulse Collector primary fails or switches over GAX will still be able to show widgets, dashboard and statistics?

Hi,

The Pulse collector HA configuration changed in release 8.5.104 which supports primary/backup hot-standby mode. In older release like 8.5.103, Pulse Collectors do not use Primary and Backup servers for HA. Instead, Pulse mirrors the load between Collectors if more than one is configured and connected to Pulse.

GAX should be connected to primary collector and in case of failure it will connect automatically to the HA hot-standby pair.

Both Active-Active GAXs should also be connected to each other and having pulse pulgins and connected to primary collector.

For best user experience both GAXs instances should be behine corporate loadbalancer so in case primary fails, the second node will be available and runing.
