Hi,

I'm struggling to fine a way to configure widgets for other pulse users.
Customer requirement is, that the supervisors are not allowed to edit existing or create new widgets. This sounds quite straightforward, but ... how can the administrator create the widgets and provide them to other pulse users (more or less as read-only) ?

I'm thankful for ideas and solutions.

I had the main struggle, too.
The answer is that you cannot create the widget while being logged in with Person A and then copy the widget to Person B, who will only have read only access to the widget.
Even though there are references of the widget saved on the Annex of Person A, copying it to Person B would not make it work. Pulse uses an internal DB for widgets.

Hi Robert,
I had one of our experts take a look at your question.  In the current version of Pulse, we have only one way to share widgets/dashboard with other users - by using the default dashboard.
 
First, the Administrator should create the dashboard with the required widgets and then set it as default (press vertical ellipsis (column of three dots) to right from dashboard's name and choose 'Set as Default Dashboard' from the drop-down menu).
 
In order to let supervisors to see only this default dashboard, and not be able to create new or edit existing widget/dashboard you should perform the following steps:
 
1) Create new (or modify existing) role for supervisors:  provide only 'Pulse View Dashboard' privilege in the Pulse section.
2) In user's own Person object and user's own Tenant please set only Read and Execute permissions.
 
As a result, after login, supervisor will be able to view only the default dashboard. If Administrator changes the default dashboard, the supervisor would see the altered view after logging back in.
 
Please note, that only one default dashboard is allowed per tenant.

I am not able to download pulse 8.1 dashboard. How can i do that any idea please Share your Knowledge.
