  • 1.  How customization takes place in WWE ?

    Hi All,

    Just curious to know whether customization possible in WWE (Workspace web edition) like it is done in WDE. On GTS documentation site there is no info available for this part. 

    Any hint or starting doc would be helpful here.

    You can't develop extensions like you can in WDE, but it is possible to integrate a web application as an iFrame and use the WWE Service Client API to communicate between you application and WWE.  The WWE Service Client API is documented here: https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/HTCC/8.5.2/Dev/Welcome.

    ​​Hi Jim,

    During a Genesys intervention regarding a WWE PoC, the expert told me that a new WWE 9 will allow to make same kind of customizations done with WDE (that is not possible with WDE 8.X).
    Do you know when this version will be available and what technologies will be used?

    Some prototype work has been done on this front with WWE 9.  I'm unsure what the roadmap timeframe is for it to be productized and available for release, but it definitely won't be before 2019.
