  • 1.  Problem Register 407 Proxy Authentication Required

    Hello guys,
    I'm having difficulty responding to the "407 Proxy Authentication Required" event I get from a gateway through a trunk created on the Genesys sip server by the Register method. Anyone know what it could be?

    Note: By the Invite method, the "407 Proxy Authentication Required" sip server responds normally.

    Anderson,

    According to the documentation, the authentication construct from the Genesys side is for incoming REGISTER or INVITE requests only.  In order to respond to the challenge request of "407" the SIP Server must pass an encryption header of "Proxy-Authenticate" to reg.jiveip.net.  Is there a subsequent message that the SIP Server is passing along?

    Hello Ivan Ullmann,
    No, the sip server receives the "407" from the gateway, but does not pass the authentication forward. When the sip server makes an Invite to the same gateway, and receives the "407", it passes authentication to the gateway.

    That is, for the Register method is not working, only for the Invite method. The problem that calls only work if the sip server does the authentication by Register with the Gateway.
