  • 1.  Does Genesys Engage 8.5 support containerized deployment in Docker?

    Hi All,

        My client is currently using Genesys Engage 8.5, which is deployed in a virtual machine environment. The client now intends to deploy the system in Docker. Could you please confirm whether Genesys Engage 8.5 supports containerized deployment in Docker? Which components currently support Docker deployment? Does Genesys have any plans to adapt the Engage system specifically for Docker deployment?

    Hi @robin oy

    You should open a case with Genesys Support. So far, Genesys Engage is soon to be EOL. On documentation site, Docker Deployment Guide, it state an option to deploy on Docker but I am not familiar with this kind of deploy. According to the documentation the repository was on bintray, but it is not longer supported. So, it is better open a case and ask to Genesys Support.

    There are a couple of current Engage products that does run on containers, like GCXI, but they are very few.

    Genesys had created their "Private Cloud" solution that ran on containers, but they have since abandoned that solution and are no longer onboarding anyone to it.  All users are being moved to the Cloud CX solution, and will no longer offer any on-premise solutions.

    Hi Robin,

    I could get more info, Genesys no longer provides neither support any docerized environments for GA customers of engage premise components. If your customer was part of a beta program or PM controlled deliveries maybe could get some more info about it.

    Also, on documentation site, Docker Deployment Guide, this reference is considered obselete and in some point will be taken down.
